Question: Does Medicare cover massage therapy or naturopathic medical services?
Answer: No. Medicare dose not cover any natural medicine services. These would all lave to be paid for at time of services.
Question: Does your office take Medicare?
Answer: Because Medicare only pays for chiropractic service our office is considered a )participating facility for chiropractic but a nonparticipating clinic for medical services.
Question: So, does Medicare pay for my visits?
Answer: The answer to this question is yes but sometimes no.
fit is for chiropractic adjustments, then the answer is yes, Medicare does pay. Medicare has specific rules for what it will pay for and each box on the Medicare billing form must be properly filled in. In simple language, Medicare pays for pain in your spine that both you and I eel will improve with chiropractic care.
Medicare wants to know why you have pain and what got it started so the date of something you did to start the pain or worsen the pain is very important.
Medicare in no way will pay for maintenance care if you have no pain. Those patients desiring maintenance care are allowed the Medicare discount for services but must pay cash/Visa at the time of service.
Question: Explain how this all works?
Answer: Before any treatment, you need an examination. Medicare will not pay for the examination but they will pay for the treatment. !depending on the type and length of your history and examination, it can cost you between $45.00 and $110.00. Medicare also wants x-rays of your condition. Again, these can cost you between $50.00 and $125.00 per area studied. Another option that Medicare may pay for x-rays is if you have your medical doctor order them and then send us the copies. Once you begin treatment, then Medicare pays for chiropractic services. You will still have a co-payment for each service (usually about $7.21) which we ask for at the time of your service.
Question: Dose Medicare pay at all for Naturopathic medical services
Answer: The simple answer is no. Even though Dr. Young is a full service clinic offering natural, drug-free care for infections, fatigue, stomach ailments like heartburn, diabetes, and heart and lung problems. Because Dr. Young has chosen to be a naturopathic medical doctor (NMD), Medicare will not pay for these services.
Question: Can I talk about my other medical conditions during my chiropractic visits?
Answer: Indeed, you may ask questions regarding other health problems and on the vitamins and nutrition you are taking.
Dr. Young welcomes questions about your healthy as he believes in a holistic approach. Answer? Medicare pays for acute or chronic conditions that have pain and for when there is something that you have done to cause or light up or worsen the pain.
If you are feeling just fine and there are no pains found in your muscles or joints, Medicare does not pay for maintenance chiropractic visits. To further guarantee that your treatment will be paid for it is best to have your doctor order a yearly x-ray and to update your chiropractor regarding any and all activities that irritate your spine.
